ATD Cascadia strives to not only meet the basic criteria for an ATD Chapter but to exceed where possible. Noted below are the rewards of our hard work.
Chapter Affiliation Requirements (CARE) are a set of performance guidelines designed to help chapters deliver consistent benefits to members. CARE consists of elements in six key areas that are necessary for running a chapter like a business: Board of Directors, Communication, Finance, Governance, Membership, and Programming. Completion of the annual CARE survey helps and will continue to help chapters remain in alignment with state and legal requirements, chapter services to determine how to best support chapters, and chapters to benchmark their efforts against others. Letter from Tony Bingham, President & CEO of ATD.
ATD Cascadia shared a process with the SOS (Sharing Our Success) Program of ATD. On behalf of the Chapter Recognition Committee, the chapter was congratulated by National on our achievement—the submission “Building a Community for Senior Talent Development Leaders” has been approved for recognition. "Your effort demonstrates a replicable format for other chapters around the country to adopt and improve their chapter’s operations."
"This recognition honors the ATD Cascadia’s best practice that demonstrates its commitment to managing a successful organization as well as advancing the talent development profession at the local level. We are honored to recognize the chapter with ATD's SOS recognition."
The chapter wishes to thank Dan Bilderback and Dan Vetter for their support and vision creating a community for senior learning leaders.
ATD Cascadia was awarded the September 2020 Chapter of the Month from ATD based on a "Share Our Success" submission. The Share Our Success program is one way chapters can share processes and ideas that work for them with other chapters. ATD Cascadia submitted: "During a recent Annual Conference, we introduced a dedicated vendor time at the conference with pre-work for attendees that included videos and information. The incentive to do the pre-work was a raffle that included any one Chapter event for free (up to a $300 value).
Our goal was to provide our vendors a high quality experience and a more productive interaction with conference participants. This is a way of validating the money they spend to be a vendor."
There is a $500 monetary award for the chapter as well as the attached acknowledgment from Tony Bingham.
From the Leader Connection Newsletter:
Working with UMU, the chapter developed a webpage that allowed visitors to review information about each of the vendors prior to the conference. The information included short product and service videos, examples of questions to ask the vendor, and who to contact. Providing vendors with a high-quality experience and a more productive interaction with conference participants led to validating the money exhibitors spent to participate. Out of 213 conference participants, 76 completed the raffle connected to the exhibitor site. |
