  • Summarize the value of an instructional design process and the ADDIE course development process.


Learner Analysis in Instructional Design


  • Discuss the benefits and challenges of conducting a needs analysis. 

  • Define performance gap and root cause analysis.

  • Discuss the benefits of conducting a learner analysis, and ways to integrate into your training practice. 

  • Consider design implications based on your audience. 

  • Define behavioral language and learner characteristics. 

  • Define and develop a task analysis. 

Objective Driven Course Design


  • Describe Bloom’s taxonomy.

  • Explain why we use Bloom’s taxonomy to turn task statements into learning objectives.

  • Discuss the three components of effective learning objectives.
