Monthly Chapter Meeting - Leveraging Animation in Your e-Learning

What if your learners liked your e-Learning so much they shared it with their colleagues? You can make it happen through the power of animation! Join the June Chapter meeting to explore how effective—and simple—animated video can be.

We are going to explore how adding animated videos to your e-learning can increase engagement, memory retention, and reduce cognitive load. We will also talk about how you can utilize available software to create animated videos in-house or take ideas from current tech to enhance your e-Learning.

On this topic, we will dissect an e-Learning sample and break into discussion groups to brainstorm ideas you can implement at your organization. Be sure to join the fun!

Julie Gillespie has worked with a wide range of organizations across industries to help tell their stories through video. Julie now uses her expertise to show other Instructional Designers how to streamline their video-making processes and build engaging content that keeps learners asking for more. Julie is an ATD certified Instructional Designer and Trainer, currently in the Applied Instructional Design Academy, and member of the ATD Cascadia chapter.

• Our Chapter Meetings are a great opportunity to connect with talent development colleagues from across the area as well as to learn something new as each meeting focuses on a different topic related to our profession. Meetings take place the place the third Monday of each month (except December) and are open to members and non-members alike.
