Looking for an opportunity to gain industry-recognized eLearning skills? Want to connect with our local ATD Cascadia community of professionals also developing eLearning courses?
Join ATD Cascadia member and eLearning developer, Mark Weingarten, for a two-part Articulate 360 workshop. These will be hands-on sessions, and attendees will follow along as we explore the tools and build eLearning interactions together. A Windows laptop and license (or free demo license) for Articulate 360 will be required to follow along.
The morning session is designed for beginners and will cover:
-
An overview of Rise, Articulate's lightweight eLearning authoring tool. You will leave equipped to develop your own fully functional courses or microlearning modules using Rise.
-
A hands-on introduction to Storyline, Articulate's full-featured eLearning authoring tool. You will leave with an understanding of the tool's key building blocks (triggers, layers, and states) and gain the skills to develop simple interactions of your own.
-
A breakdown of eLearning publishing formats such as SCORM and how they function within an LMS (Learning Management System).
After a break for lunch, the afternoon session dives deeper into Storyline and is designed for intermediate users with a basic understanding of triggers, layers, and states (including attendees of the morning session). It will cover:
-
An introduction to the three types of variables in Storyline: text, numeric, and true/false. You'll learn how to use sliders as self-reflection tools and provide your learners with a way to take notes or type reflections as they learn.
-
A step-by-step approach to transforming existing resources (PowerPoint decks, Storyline templates, Canva or Illustrator designs, etc.) into narrated eLearning interactions. You'll discover techniques to boost engagement while maintaining brand consistency. Along the way, you’ll learn how to sync animations on the timeline and leverage AI narration.
