Please note: To continue offering high-quality programming and to ensure the sustainability of our chapter, we are now implementing a $10 fee for non-members to attend networking events including our Special Interest Group events.

Whether you’re a talent development professional seeking to embed Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) into your initiatives or a DEIB practitioner looking for peer support, ATD Cascadia invites you to share your perspective and experience.

In July, our Special Interest Group (Sig) meeting will focus on creating inclusive workplaces which requires us to speak openly and accurately about groups of people.  Anne Parmeter will lead an interactive meeting to explore a practical framework to assess whether specific words and phrases align with current people-first language recommendations. Together, we’ll discuss how to support our colleagues when outdated or harmful terminology surfaces, and how to navigate our own inevitable missteps with grace and accountability.

Great for anyone working across cultures—especially trainers and facilitators.
